Fullerton: “The silver lining is there are only 18 months left in her mandate”
January 4, 2017 – Ontarians are just starting to feel the tough times as a result of the Provincial Liberal Government. Kathleen Wynne’s disastrous economic and social policies are having a profound impact on Ontario, says Dr. Merrilee Fullerton who is seeking the PC nomination in the new riding of Kanata-Carleton.
“Unfortunately, 2017 will be a tough year with Kathleen Wynne and her Liberal Government at Queen’s Park,” observes Dr. Fullerton. “Last year saw many Ontarians hijacked by their hydro bills and it’s about to get worse. We are going to be assaulted by rocketing price increases as a result of Wynne’s new carbon tax scheme. Absolutely everything is about to rise as a result of this Liberal tax grab.”
“Ontarians have already seen gas pump prices rise 5 cents per litre – more than $2 per tank. Thanks to Wynne, it’s going to be a long, costlier winter with working Ontarians needing to heat their homes and drive to work.”
Dr. Fullerton states, “To compound our troubles, Wynne’s double whammy of outrageous hydro rates and a new carbon tax will see further businesses either closing down or moving from the Province. Whether it is an industry leader like Amazon, or a family-run restaurant, we will see more lost jobs and lost opportunities in 2017.”
“Kathleen Wynne’s Liberals are having a profound impact on Ontario. The silver lining is there are only 18 months left in her mandate,” she adds.
Dr. Merrilee Fullerton comments she is looking forward to being the PC candidate in the next provincial election. “I want to be a positive voice of change for Kanata-Carleton residents. I look forward to being part of the solutions and turn-around that Patrick Brown and a PC Government will bring about for Ontarians.”
The Ontario PC nomination for Kanata-Carleton riding is expected in the up-coming months.
