Popular Carp resident considered Kanata-Carleton nomination
July 27 th , 2016—This past weekend, Dr. Merrilee Fullerton received a resounding endorsement from local businessman and community leader, Craig Dunbar.
Having already assembled a campaign team and a strong base of supporters, Craig was preparing to officially enter the nomination race in the newly formed riding of Kanata-Carleton, but decided against it for personal reasons. Mr. Dunbar took to social media to reassure his supporters that they, and the rest of Kanata – Carleton, have a great candidate in Dr. Fullerton.
“Fortunately for the residents and business owners in the new riding of Kanata – Carleton, the Progressive Conservative Party has an excellent candidate in Dr. Merrilee Fullerton.”
Mr. Dunbar stated that “Merrilee is intimately familiar with the many flaws in our healthcare system and how it is run, and how political decisions are negatively impacting the talented, dedicated, and hard working professionals who work in the healthcare field.”
Mr. Dunbar went on to say that “like everyone in our riding and across Ontario, Merrilee is also very concerned with the out – of – control mess that Ontario’s energy system has become, and sees how it impacts everyone who lives and works in Ontario. I have every confidence that she will bring the same dedication, passion, and work ethic to bear on this issue as she continues to bring to the healthcare portfolio.”
In light of Mr. Dunbar’s decision to remove himself from the nomination race, Craig stated that he, and his campaign team, are unequivocally supporting Merrilee Fullerton.
Dr. Fullerton was very pleased to have Mr. Dunbar’s endorsement. “It is great to have the support of such a well-known member of our community and I look forward to working with Craig, and his team, to win this nomination and ultimately to win the election in 2018.”
