Hello Friends,

Welcome to my monthly newsletter! I will be sharing news and events about my campaign as I work toward representing your interests as the PC candidate in Kanata-Carleton in the next provincial election.

In From the Desk of Dr. Merrilee Fullerton, you will find both news of the campaign trail and my perspectives on topical issues. I hope to provide you with a glimpse of how I will address the challenges facing us and provide a voice for the issues affecting Kanata-Carleton. In this premier issue, there are features on the launch of my campaign and the Ontario doctors’ recent negotiations with the Wynne Government.

People ask me “Why are you running?” and my short answer is “Because we must see real change in Ontario.”

In 2018, we will have had 15 years of Liberal Government that, unfortunately, has taken Ontario to a tipping point. We will be challenged to meet the needs of our residents given Ontario’s enormous debt load and the Liberals’ gross mismanagement of services and programs.

Our Province requires a different approach to governing and I want to be a positive voice for change. I am concerned about our community’s future and look forward to the opportunity to tackle the problems with those critical services that mean so much to our quality of life in Kanata-Carleton. As someone who has grown up and been active in our community, a mother of three, and having had a career as a family physician, I have important insights when it comes to contributing to the changes required in Ontario.

A few weeks ago I began an exciting journey along a new political path – to be your voice for change in Kanata-Carleton. I hope and trust I can count on your support,

(This is Merrilee’s personal note featured in her July newsletter – the premier edition of her monthly newsletter.)

It is a great way to make your voice heard. It is also a great way to introduce young people to politics! (Membership within the Ontario PC Party is available to all Ontario residents 14 years of age and older.)

While Merrilee is out meeting people and selling memberships, you can help as well. Start chatting about Merrilee with your family and neighbors, and tell them about the benefits of buying a membership.
